SCOTTSDALE

Scottsdale, located within the Phoenix metropolitan area, consists of approximately 184.4 square miles.  Data from the Census projected its 2022 population was 241,361 residents. The median household income is $117,974. From an educational standpoint, 59.4% have a bachelor degree or more. Scottsdale’s major employers include Honor Health, Mayo Clinic, Vanguard, CVS Pharmacy and General Dynamics.

There is plenty to do inside Scottsdale’s city limits. The City of Scottsdale offers over 42 parks, a few of which are strung together through the center of Scottdale allowing skaters, joggers & bikers 11 miles of continuous pathways through the greenbelt.  Hikers will admire Scottsdale’s master plan with 2 major and 6 minor trails including McDowell Sonoran Preserve which is 120 miles of trails inside the 30,000 acre preserve. Soak up the sun at Spring Training watching the San Francisco Giants at Old Town’s Scottsdale Stadium and the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. Golfers will enjoy multiple amazing golf courses throughout the city. We can’t talk about Scottsdale without boasting about Phoenix Open at TPC and Jackson Barrett Car Auction, two events that draw people from around the world.  Old Town Scottsdale is full of a variety of shops including multiple art galleries, restaurants and is the place to be seen at night. Close by is the amazing Scottsdale Fashion Square with every national chain and then some. North Scottsdale offers two open-air shopping and dining experiences at the Scottsdale Quarter or Kierland Commons. Take a tour of Frank Lloyd Wright’s winter home called Taliesin West, enjoy the arts at Scottsdale Center for the Arts, the Butterfly museum, the Odysea aquarium and more!

The Scottsdale Community College is Scottsdale’s public community College. Scottsdale Unified School District consists of 15 elementary, 3 K-8, 6 middle, and 5 high schools including an on-line high school. Offerings include gifted learning, special education, career and technical education and a variety of athletics, arts and enrichment programs and clubs. There are also multiple charter and private school throughout the city.

It is not unusual to observe wild life in including quail, coyotes, bobcats, owls, javelina, snakes and more! 

Scottsdale real estate is as diverse as its residents. There is something for every taste, want and budget from sprawling estates, horse properties, homes on a mountain or desert preserve, golf properties, one or two stories and even some with basements or tri-level.
