Mesa, located within the Phoenix metropolitan area, consists of approximately 133 square miles and is the third largest city in Arizona behind Phoenix and Tucson. There is plenty to do inside the Mesa city limits. The City of Mesa offers over 2,011 acres of parkland including 209 parks with unique playgrounds, athletic fields, aquatic centers, trails, recreation centers, a convention center, an amphitheater, a golf course, and 2 spring training baseball stadiums. Golfers may choose among a dozen challenging and absolutely spectacular courses. Hikers of all abilities will be awestruck by the beautiful trails Mesa offers. Shoppers will enjoy multiple shopping areas including the Mesa Riverview which offers an open-air shopping and dining experience. And, for theater, my father’s final concert of his life was the Beach Boys at the Mesa Arts Center where concerts, speakers, dance and theatre are featured. It definitely holds a special place for me.

Mesa Public Schools is the largest public school district in the state of Arizona. Its approximately 64,000 students enjoy opportunities such as Montessori, International Baccalaureate, dual-language immersion, honors and Advanced Placement courses and Franklin traditional schools.  Mesa Community College and Arizona State University Polytechnic campus offer higher education.
